Drake Guenther

Drake is Exo’s Senior Director of Applications. He has been designing acoustic imaging systems for 15+ years, ranging from multi-static active SONAR systems for the U.S. Navy to conventional cart-based medical diagnostic ultrasound imagers. Most recently, he was a principal engineer for Analogic Corporation, working on software and system architecture design for the BK Medical Point of Care ultrasound product lines. With Analogic, Drake helped commercialize the Sonic Window, an ultraportable battery-operated ultrasound device specifically designed to assist minimally trained users with vascular access. Prior to joining Analogic, he was part of the medical ultrasound startup PocketSonics, Inc., which developed the foundational proof-of-concept and system design for the Sonic Window. Drake has extensive experience in array signal processing, real-time volume imaging, A.I. for ultrasound, and developing medical grade software systems. He holds five pending and issued patents related to medical ultrasound.  Drake earned his Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Virginia and a B.S. from Duke University.
