Kurt Hammond

Kurt Hammond is Exo’s Chief Commercial Officer. He is responsible for developing and executing the sales, marketing, partnerships and customer success strategies to drive the commercialization of Exo’s ultrasound ecosystem. Kurt comes to Exo with 30 years in healthcare and technology leadership, specializing in enterprise healthcare IT software sales, product management and business development. He's led six healthcare startups to successful exits and has participated in over 20 healthcare mergers and acquisitions. Prior to joining Exo, Kurt served as the Chief Growth Officer at eMed, overseeing the development and operations of a first-of-its kind digital diagnostic lab platform. Before eMed, he contributed to Merge Healthcare's rise in medical image processing and managed its commercial operations until its sale to IBM in 2015. After the acquisition and transition of the imaging business into IBM, Kurt served as Global Vice President of Partnerships and Business Development at IBM Watson Health where he focused on promoting and monetizing the AI and SaaS products across the Watson Health portfolio. Kurt lives in Evanston, IL with his wife and two children. He attended Miami University in Ohio and earned his MBA at the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota.
